American online sportsbook and daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings Incorporated has announced the inking of an agreement that is due to see it expand its existing relationship with the PGA Tour.
The Boston-headquartered firm used an official Wednesday press release to detail that the deepened alliance comes after legislators in Arizona passed a measure earlier this week that could soon see the western American state become the latest to legalize online sportsbetting and daily fantasy sports games. The company explained that House Bill 2772 is currently awaiting the signature of Governor Doug Ducey but may become the law of the land in time for the start of this year’s National Football League (NFL) season.
Ambitious aim:
Should the 57-year-old Republican approve the new measure and DraftKings Incorporated revealed that it intends to apply for a license to supply sportsbetting aficionados in ‘The Grand Canyon State’ with a range of retail and mobile wagering services. As such and it disclosed that approval would involve its launch in partnership with the PGA Tour of a land-based sportsbook at the golf organization’s 36-hole TPC Scottsdale complex.

Ezra Kucharz serves as the Chief Business Officer for DraftKings Incorporated and he used the press release to proclaim that this envisioned sportsbook is to be ‘a visually stunning 19th hole experience’ that will allow sports fans to gather year-round in order to eat, drink, watch their favorite events and place wagers. He furthermore declared that the pair are currently considering ‘several locations’ within the 192-acre golf development to site the planned retail sports wagering complex and are working with a range of local partners in hopes of being able to maximize its ‘economic, tourism and charitable benefits to the local community.’

It divulged that the duo also intends to collaborate via associated ‘co-marketing initiatives and exclusive hospitality experiences’ so as to position the Maricopa County development ‘as a premier global destination for sports bettors and avid golf fans.’
